went to the tool concert last tueaday in new haven....it was awesome. i noticed when i was a kid in music class how when someone was playing the snare drum i could sort of feel it in my chest; i thought i was imagining it, but later i learned all abotu the interesting properties of sound waves. the really powerful ones, like those of tool all amped up, resonate across your skin and through your body and make you feel like there's something inside you. i'm wondering, actually, if sound waves interact differently with your vocal cords, which resonate themselves already; it felt like there was something in my throat that i couldnt get out. it was awesome.
the music was great too.
