Doing some preliminary checking on a possible paper topic for my Eakins class, I was going through the Prado's online collection of Goya paintings and saw the one above, the Catfight of 1786-7. According to the information online, this was a study for part of a dining room's decoration, and was likely intended to go over the doorway. Here's a detail:
I really can't think why you'd want this scene looming over the place where you eat your meals, but perhaps 18th century Spanish nobles had different ideas. Then again, this is Goya, and he certainly had rather dark and enigmatic tendencies in his work.
On a less scholarly note, part of me wants to LOLcaption this image, perhaps with "The noms are mine!"
