It's cold and wet here, so what better time to focus on July in Spain, where daily temps average between 95 and 104? Last night I figured out a basic itinerary for our travels: Madrid for three nights, then Salamanca, Avila, Segovia, and Toledo, and finally three nights in Madrid with a day trip out to El Escorial. That gives me not one, but
two Sunday mornings in Madrid to experience the wonder of El Rastro, the world's largest flea market: 3500 stalls! Sadly, I think I'm almost equally excited for that as I am to visit the Prado again. Priorities, right?
