Formalities

We got our marriage license today! There was a moment of brief panic when she looked at our application and asked for our social security cards. Mine is in Philadelphia. In my head I was immediately calculating how much time it would take to get in touch with Phyllis and have her FedEx the card to me...but then the girl behind the counter said it didn't matter. Why they even bothered asking for it, then, is beyond me, whatever, we paid our $30, waited with a couple of other couples (including two guys, go CT!) and then, quite anti-climatically, received a form signed by the town registrar. Whoo?
