there is almost nothing better than being online and being able to talk to both sara and rae at once, and feel almost like the old days, as though we're all fifteen miles apart instead of a hundred or so. it would have been really awesome if heather had been on too, but she hasn't been on AIM lately. i don't know why this struck me today, it just kind of did. i miss you girls a lot...not in a huge way like i cry over it or anything, but just a sort of quiet feeling that strikes me sometimes, like "gee, sara would think that's really funny", etc. maybe you guys feel like i always talk about my FU friends to you, but i realized the other day how much i bring you three up when i'm talking to my friends here. i can't help it; you guys were such a huge part of my existence pre-college. maybe it's a good thing, so when sara and rae eventually visit it won't be like they're people my friends here have never heard of. they'll be like ah, it's the girl who makes scarves and loves hello kitty, and the former x-phile with the younger man *wink* of course, you two are so much more than that. this mood might possibly be influenced by the fact that simon and garfunkel's "bridge over troubled water" is now playing. who knows.

i had a lot of fun last night. i'm really glad that my friends here approved of charles lol. that's usually a good sign! i'm also eagerly anticipating valentine's day. i wish people would get more into the idea of it, that there's an entire day dedicated to telling people that you care! who cares that hallmark and hershey and victoria's secret make a killing off this holiday? doesn't it make people feel so special to have someone else say to them "you're my friend, and i love you", and then hand them a little piece of cardboard with some silly sentiment on it? i know i love it *cheesy grin*

yes where was i? doing homework. must finish in time to see a bit of superbowl commercial fun.
