This Is Post #555

What an interesting day. I went to Milano's early in the afternoon for a real back massage, delivered by this really nice Polish girl, Lucy (she had an accent just like a masseuse should!). It was amazing. I had completely not given thought to the fact that you have to take your clothes off for these, btw, so when she led me into the cute little room, which was lit only by candles and had really soothing music playing, and told me to take off everything but my underwear I was like, um, right now? She left the room, but there's a distinct feeling of vulnerability about taking your clothes off and hopping into this bed in some place you've never been. Anyway, the massage was so incredibly relaxing and felt awesome, except for the fact that she used all this massage oil on me, everywhere from my back, neck, arms and hands, and then didn't give me a towel to wipe it off or anything, so i felt kinda greasy afterward. When she started off she was playing with my hair, kind of, and it felt so good, but then later she touched my hair again with the oil stuff on her hands, so now that feels greasy too. All in all, this is one thing that is definitely going on the gift list for christmas, except next time i want the swedish full-body massage, which is like an hour. that sounds like fun.

after this i was quite relaxed, so i decided to chill in the little coffee place in town with my book. i walk in only to discover that not only does Annie work there, so do Logan G. from high school (he of the piercing blue eyes) and Pete, Greg's friend, who was sporting gigantic muttonchops! it was so weird, the servers were all people i knew. neither logan nor pete seemed to recognize me so i didn't say anything. annie was really nice, i left her half of the mocha-mousse dessert i had because she wanted to try it lol.

anyway i didn't really feel comfortable sitting in there for hours with those people there, so i decided to go sit by the fountain on the town green. to my disappointment there were people noisily cutting the grass. i'm walking by and i turn to look at one of the mowers only to discover that it's Greg! it was so weird! i just stood there and waved and it took him a minute to figure out who i was. he said later that he didn't recognize me with the sunglasses, he just saw this girl walking by and was like damn, who's that, and then "oh....it's you." lol. kind of a compliment, kind of not, but it was delivered with the usual huge greg grin, so it was ok. he was dressed kinda like a hobo for work, but he shaved off those sideburns, with the result that he looked really hot. (wendy scolded me for this. she's not very fond of him). him being hot has a lot to do with his hair--it was longer and wavy and completely out of control, exactly how i liked it, like brandon boyd hair, except then he said he was cutting it short today, which i always hated. i always thought greg had the perfect guy hair, but i never liked him getting it cut (this is probably where i got my dislike of men cutting their hair in general). anyway, i guess the general rule of thumb is that you're supposed to hope your ex looks a lot worse than when you dated them so that you can somehow feel better about yourself, but that's so stupid. or maybe it's because i was in a really good mood today. either way, i was happy for him that he's still really cute, and i was happy i ran into him, not only because seeing hot guys is always a plus but because it was good to talk to him again.

so yes, my day to this point has been strange indeed. who knows where it will go from here?

tomorrow is my three month anniversary with tommy!
